Application Adaptation
The wave transformation engine, which resides on the wave Publisher™, optimises applications to achieve the desired real-world user experience, personalised to device, network and user preferences.
It works by taking into account the specifics of the mode of delivery and the capabilities of each of the myriad of supported client platforms and presentation layers via the many supported networks and transforming not only content but the very structure of the application to ensure that what the consumer sees is the best and most personal experience possible.
The transformation process takes as inputs the key parameters which describe how a service is being viewed on the device, how it is delivered by the network and how it is desired by the user. The wave Publisher then produces a personalised and optimised version of each application.
The application definition transmitted to and rendered by the wave Explorer™ is supplied by the wave Publisher in the most appropriate form for that client device. The wave Studio™ tools provide the means for application designers to specify how different types of access, from narrow-band to broad-band, and varying device capabilities will affect the rendered service and how the wave Publisher performed the necessary translations automatically for each session for each application.
