Case Studies
weComm has proven deployments across Europe and US for major media companies and a very broad range of solutions.
NOS is the major public service broadcaster in the Netherlands. NOS is a primary source of news, sports and current affairs information in the Netherlands. The NOS service combines News, Sport, Traffic, Latest Video News, Weather, and a previously separate Teletekst service with other portal content in a single application.
Launched in June 2008 the service gained a record number of users in the first few weeks. NOS have complete control over the service content, keeping it up-to-date and fresh, maximising the benefits for subscribers.
NOS have also been able to rapidly launch a number of 'spotlight' services, covering events such as the Tour de France and the 2008 Olympics with dedicated sections of the application.
Rather than create simple pages of information for these events, NOS created sophisticated and rich mini-applications.
The Tour de France sub-application included the latest grouping and position information as well as up to date commentary and live video sections.
For the Olympics, users were able to access the latest results and medal tables, live video and radio, on-demand video and schedule information as well as general and Dutch-team specific news.
BSkyB, the largest pay-TV provider in the UK uses Wave technology to run Sky Mobile, a news portal and mobile TV service with a comprehensive Electronic Programme Guide plus remote record functionality for the Sky+ service.

Specific "radio visualisation" shows include The Chris Moyles Show and Switch on BBC Radio 1, Material World on BBC Radio 4 and The Hub on BBC 6 Music; listeners are offered enhanced content with pushed synchronised visual elements such as images, news feeds, "now playing", votes, show and user messages.
Wave Technology powers the MiniTV mobil service so that the multiple Norwegian broadcasters can deliver branded context-driven media such as live news, weather, high-quality live and on-demand video streams and spotlight sports services.
weComm have been selected as the mobile application partner enabling the individual broadcasters to deliver their own customer experience allowing them to compete on content rather than technology.
weComm designed and created compelling Facebook, YouTube and Last.fm applications for Motorola to pre-load onto multiple new handsets during 2009.
